Name: Shaun Potter

Bio: Started as manager in September 2017 having previously been assistant manager. Previously managed Weston Super mare under 18’s and 19’s.  After playing for Weston super mare, Weston St Johns, Worle and Winscombe, Shaun hung up his boots and pursued his coaching career.

Name: Phil Hucker

Position: Assistant Manager

Bio: Joined Cheddar in 2018/19 season as assistant manager. Extensive career in coaching with Bridgwater Town, Weston super Mare Academy, Winscombe, Nailsea United and Cheddar Juniors. Played for Winscombe, Nailsea United and his county side.

Name: George Booth

Position: Midfielder

Sponsor: Somerset Sausage Company

Bio: A versatile ball playing midfielder, George began his career with Bristol Rovers where he earned himself a pro contract after some fine performances for the youth team. He then had spells at Paulton Rovers, Weston super mare, Shepton Mallet and finally his home club Cheddar.

Name: Joe Grant

Bio: A versatile full back, Joe is comfortable in either full back positions, he started his career with Yeovil academy before joining Wells city to start his senior career, after a brief spell with Wells, Joe made the switch to Cheddar and his been a key first team regular ever since.

Name: Ricky Bennett

Position: Midfielder

Bio: A midfield playmaker, Ricky came through the ranks at Bristol City before returning to hometown club Weston Super mare. Ricky joined the Cheesemen in 2014 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club.

Name: Nathan Best

Bio: An experienced Centre half, Nathan started his career with Bristol City at youth level, before joining Weston super mare at 18 years old. After spells at Wellington, Bristol Manor Farm, Shepton Mallet, Winscombe and Banwell, Nathan joined the Cheesemen at the start of the 2017/18 season.

Name: Mike Dangerfield

Position: Goalkeeper

Bio: An experienced Western league keeper, Mike is in his second spell with the Cheesemen, having previously played for Patchway Town, Bedford Town and Weston St Johns. Having joined Wells for a season, Mike returned to Cheddar for the start of the 2018/19 season.

Name: Kristian ‘Kris’ Bell

Position: Forward

Bio: A pacey, tricky winger with great feet, Kristian developed from a young age with North Somerset football development before starting his senior career with Cheddar. Experience playing for his university side in London.

Name: Robbi Maggs

Position: Forward

Bio: A strong all-round forward, Robbie began his development with Bristol Rovers before making his move to home town club Weston super mare, he was a key member of the Weston under 19 squad that won the Conference alliance premier league. Robbie joined Cheddar after time with Clevedon Town, Cinderford, Shepton Mallet and Belgian Club Wolfsdonk FC.

Name: Reece Ferguson

Position: Forward

Bio: A tricky young winger with sharp feet, Reece has played at Southampton and Bristol City at academy level. He joined Weston super mare, where he still continues his development alongside his first team commitment. Reece made his debut against Devizes aged 17 at the start of the 2018/19 season, where he also got his first goal for the club.

Name: Ollie Hucker

Bio: A versatile young midfielder, Ollie played his youth football with Bridgwater town before moving across to Cheddar Reserves. Some strong performances seen Ollie called up to the first team to make his debut aged 17.

Name: Adam Jones (Captain)

Position: Forward

Sponsor: Aldwick Services Transport Ltd

Bio: A prolific goalscorer, Club Captain Adam began his senior football career with Draycott, before joining Cheddar, where he has enjoyed over 10 seasons of success, making 360 appearances and scoring 280 goals. Adam was part of the side that won promotion to the Toolstation Western league.

Name: Anthony Cleave

Bio: A versaltile winger that is comfortable in a number of positions, Tony joined Cheddar at the start of the 2017/18 season from Burnham united where he had spent the first 3 years of his senior career, he is comfortable down either wing and as a striker.

Name: Chris Coombs

Position: Forward

Bio: A quick, exciting winger, Chris joined us from Weston St Johns, he made his debut in 2015 and has been a key member of the side ever since. Chris scored Cheddar’s first goal ever in the FA Cup competition in August 2016 against Bodmin town.

Name: Craig Mawford

Bio: An experienced right back, Craig started his senior career with Weston super mare in the conference south, he made his debut at 17 years old and went on to make several first team appearances, he then moved on to play for Taunton Town, Bridgwater town, wellington, Street, Bristol manor farm, Chard and then finally Cheddar.

Name: Danny Griffiths

Position: Defender

Bio: A quick, ball playing centre half, Danny began his senior career with Nailsea Town. He then made the move to Cheddar. Danny scored the winning goal in the club’s history making win against Bridgwater Town in the 2018/19 FA Cup.

Bio: A superb all round goalkeeper, Dan joins us from Western league premier division side Cribbs, Dan began his senior career by playing for Weston super mare in the conference south. He then went on to play for Bridgwater town and longwell green, Dan has gained a lot of experience at this level at a young age and looks to continue his growth with the Cheesemen.

Name: Stephen Pennington

Bio: A tough tackling all round midfielder, Stephen joined the cheesemen at the start of the 2017/18 season after moving to the area from Italy. Having started his football career with Italian club Cagliari, he moved onto Tarantella FC before securing a place in the English CV academy where he spent 2 years.

Bio: A versatile player, Sam is as comfortable defending as he is attacking. Started his senior career with Chard Town, before representing Shepton Mallet, Wells and Clevedon Town. Since his move to the Cheesemen, he has been a key squad member for over 5 seasons.

Name: Adam Wright

Position: Striker

Bio: A deadly finisher, Adam has a vast amount of experience both here and abroad. Starting his career with his home town club AFC Porth, moved onto Welsh premier league club Port Talbot FC before earning a contract for Australian club Brunswick city, strong performances there seen him earn another move to Northern premier league club Northcote City. Adam signed for Cheddar for the 2018/19 season.
